The Statistical Quality Control (SQC) Era emerged with the work of Walter A. Shewhart at Bell Laboratories, who introduced control charts and the concept of process variation. Manufacturers began collecting data to identify and eliminate causes of variation, thus improving consistency and reducing waste. Customer expectations, sustainability, and global standards play crucial roles. Companies use real-time monitoring, predictive analytics, and digital tools to improve decision-making and performance. Quality has evolved from a compliance requirement to a competitive advantage and a driver of innovation. This era emphasizes agility, resilience, and stakeholder satisfaction. Organizations continuously enhance value through digital transformation and sustainable quality practices aligned with global excellence models.
